Common questions
Can I stay in Thailand for five years straight?
Not automatically. The visa is valid for 5 years, but each entry allows up to 180 days. Any extension is a decision for Thai Immigration.
Can I work for a Thai company?
No. DTV does not allow working for companies in Thailand or freelancing for Thai clients. Remote work should be for employers or clients abroad.
Is there a financial requirement?
Yes. The embassy pages we checked ask for evidence of at least THB 500,000. This is an application requirement, not the price of our service.
Which documents will I need?
It depends on your country and status. Embassies set their own lists, and some changed in August 2026. Your manager checks the current list for your situation.
